I use this booklet after reading the book Chicken Soup with Rice by Maurice Sendak. The children can use the blank books to draw their own pictures to go along with the words on each page. The optional version with original line drawings is included for children who can not yet read to remind them of the occasion celebrated each month. I keep one copy with the drawings laminated for the students to reference. You can delete the images in the Publisher file from each month, print, and cut to get

Shakespear Poster- "What's in a name?"

Printable poster of the Shakespear quote "What's in a name? That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet." Microsoft Publisher Document. This is a great quote to have on your wall year round or during your Shakespear unit. It can stimulate discussion because it brings to light the idea that words only ascribe the meaning that we give to them.

Editable Chevron Planner

This is a completely editable 2013-2014 teacher planner. I only have 2 preps, so I used one page for each course. The font I used is KG Strawberry Limeade that I downloaded for free from dafont.com . I use it to plan both my daily lessons as well as for the week and month ahead. I've already gotten many compliments on it, and I know you will too! :) The preview does not do the planner justice. It is not as grainy once it is downloaded!

This is a story I wrote to help my Special Education students learn various skills in math and language such as positional words, days of the week, big and small, and various vocabulary words. Dinosaurs are such a fun topic, and my kids love for me to read the story over and over to them. If this is printed out on card stock, laminated and bound, it's a great tool to use in the classroom all year long.

United States History 2014-2015 Calendar

This calendar provides a day-by-day approach to teaching U.S. History. The topic for each day of the school year is listed with its corresponding unit. The calendar is based on the New York State 11th grade U.S. History course and calendar. If you struggle to cover the whole course, this calendar gives you the discipline to stay on track to cover all of the material, and provides four weeks of review at the end of the year. Units are clearly marked, along with assignments, review dates, and
