History of the Piñata Rubric - Google Docs - Editable
This is a rubric I use to grade essays over the history of piñatas in my Spanish classes. I always have them research to learn more about the topic before we make piñatas of our own! Day of the Dead Presentation Rubric - Editable
As an assessment for my Day of the Dead unit, students have to create an informational presentation about the holiday based on what they have learned in class and their own research. For my lower-level students, I let the do the presentation in English to get a sense for the holiday. For upper-level, you could require this in Spanish.This rubric gives them a rough guide on what to talk about, but also requires them to identify some vocabulary from the ofrenda itself.

Mexican States Project Rubric
This rubric can be used as a guideline and an evaluation tool for a project on Mexican states. Students will select one of the Mexican states to research and create a media presentation with their information. Part of the rubric is dedicated to students creating a handmade for their state. This part could also be omitted if desired. The third part of the rubric outlines the expectations and provides a way to score the oral presentation of students presenting their research and flag to the class.
