Cut With Care, Number Share Game- Preschool Number/Cutting Assessment

This is a great resource to assess where your students are in their knowledge of numbers and cutting skills. My students love this game. You can play it throughout the school year as their skills progress. There are two different ways to play. Once your students learn the game, you could also switch from assessing/learning numbers to assessing/learning colors, letters, shapes, etc. This is a Google Slide file and is completely editable to your class needs.

The goal is listed with copies of the rubric below to serve for documenting data points using the student's work samples or to use while observing the student actually performing the task.

This item can be laminated or put in a plastic pouch for kids to use dry erase markers to orangize themselves to help with executive functioning skills. A picture of the child can be place in the cartoon photo if needed (that is what I did). The morning copy goes homeThe afternoon copy goes by the closet door, by the classroom door, or in a specific area.Visuals help readers and nonreaders learn to visualize routines and responsibilities.

Alphabet Recall

This is a simple, grid-form worksheet for accessing a student's ability to recall letters from dictation. I use this to acquire baseline data for kindergarten and first grade students. Because it is fairly basic in design, you can use it for uppercase or lowercase individually. You can also ask the students to recall both and they will generally fit within the box.
