K-2 Reading Workshop Strategy and Comprehension Checklist
This observation checklist is a quick and easy way to assess students individually, in small groups, or with volunteers during Reading Workshop. Phonics Skills Checklist (Year at a Glance)
I use this assessment in my guided reading binder. I write the children's names down the side and keep track of their phonics progress throughout the year by giving them a checklist when I can see evidence of their mastery in guided reading time, in their writing, or on weekly spelling tests.
