Three Branches of Government Cut and Paste Notes
This is a cloze notes sheet that is also a cut and paste activity. Students will fill in notes and color the tree and they can either paste the branches directly on the tree paper or they can past it all onto a larger sheet of construction paper.
This can be used with my Three Branches of Government PPT or you can have your students figure it out on their own.

This is a current events outline I created so that my upper elementary students would incorporate who, what, when, where, and why into a well written paragraph. I also added in a section for them to state their opinion on the article. I feel it is important not only to report the news but also to discuss it as well.

State Report Outline
Outline provides instructions for students to complete an eight page report covering one state of their choice. Outline includes details regarding what should be covered on each page of the report and a deadline by which to complete that page, allowing students to learn time management skills while completing the report. Also includes a questionnaire for students to use in gathering information about their selected state.
