Choosing Appropriate Accompaniment for Concert Dance
In this powerpoint, students will learn the difference between concert dance music and music for entertainment dance. They learn about new musical artists for jazz, ballet, and modern dance, while still appreciating pop music used for halftime entertainment shows, for example. Students then have an activity where they change their movement based on music. Included are the lecture slides, the activity, instructions for a showing, and a reflection.This will take 2-3 days to complete!
