Unit 9 Notes - Intro to Roman Analysis with the Major Scale
As we continue to dive deeper into real "music theory", we add Unit 9. Unit 9 introduces students to their first written analysis of chords using "the Romans." I build triads off of the scale degrees in C Major to start, and show students how and why we do Roman analysis. Just like everything else in music theory, this concept will be built upon later. Summary of Music theory (Clef-Notes-Octave-Intervals)
These slides contain a very brief, well-presented summary of basic music theory for total beginners. They are a very small part (only the presentations which were a sort of summary of the main material) of a full music course which was delivered in 2 Music Schools (Greece) and included both printable and digital material.
