I am a bit sarcastic yet fun teacher. I created this PowerPoint to cover almost anything and everything that will be discussed in the first week of school. It is made of over 60 slides and is meant to be shown in increments. I made most of the memes myself from my meme generator on my phone. When I was student teaching my mentor showed me the fist to five strategy. I use this strategy with a wide variety of sastudents to check understanding and engagement. It is a great tool to quickly regroup mid lesson. Each rating includes a statement of the student's perceived level of understanding and an "I can" or "I need" statement.
