Students will read an article about an Indiana district that yanked the novel our of students' hands (it was published while I was teaching the book - kids carried a 60-minute conversation on the article), watch a video of Toni Morrison being interviewed by Bill Moyers and then use their understanding of the text as a whole (AP Lit phrasing is intentional). You could also give them an excerpt
