Broadcast Journalism Student Video General Rubric
I've been teaching 7th and 8th grade Television Broadcasting for almost a decade now, and I use rubrics on a daily basis! The rubric is based upon a 4 point grade scale using the modifiers "Advanced", "Proficient", "Basic", and "Below Basic".
Unlike my News Segment Rubric that is more specific, this rubric can be used as a general rubric for any student video or advanced PowerPoint presentation.

Labor Day Interview
To help students better understand the responsibilities and requirements of various careers, they will interview family members about their jobs. This is an ideal project for third through fifth-grade classes to do around Labor Day. The interview is in Google Slides format, and may be assigned and completed online, or can be printed out and distributed in hard copy format. The interview itself is two pages long.
