I created this class recipe book last school year during virtual learning because it was an amazing way to showcase their heritage. The students all loved it so much, that I had 100% engagement and completion from all students, which was rare for virtual learning. Whole-Class Writing Journals (Digital)
In this Google Drive folder, you will have access to 10 Google Slides decks. Each deck has a different journal prompt. Before posting to your LMS, go into the deck and copy a writing page for each student. After posting, students can answer the journal prompt on their slide. They can add more slides if needed. They can also add pictures, change backgrounds, fonts and colors, etc. It is a great writing activity, but also helps with technology skills and classroom relationships.

This makes a GREAT last day of school activity for students leaving elementary school or leaving middle school and going to a new school the next year, but it can be good for the end of any school year for any class or grade above 3rd grade. I look forward to this project with my 5th/6th graders moving on to middle school/junior high school. I prefer to do this lesson in the computer lab or on laptops/Chromebooks so the text fits within the squares but it can also be printed and done on paper.Ea
