Zones of Regulation Problem Solving and Think Sheets

1. A guided problem solving sheet that helps students identify a problem they're having, brainstorm three possible solutions, choose one, and decide whether that choice worked for them.

Sound Vocabulary Cards
These vocabulary cards are used for my sound unit. The words include vibration, sound wave, echo, wavelength, frequency, pitch, amplitude, and volume. Each card contains a definition and a picture. I made these to save time because it is much easier to print them on card stock or have them paste them to an index card than to have them write out vocabulary as called for in my curriculum guide. This worksheet shows a cross-section of an animal cell. Students are to use the word bank to write the correct word next to each definition. There are five words and five definitions. I use this with my 7th and 8th graders who work on an alternate curriculum. This is also a great review for homework.

This is a modified worksheet from the middle school geometry curriculum. It is excellent for special education students who require an alternate or modified curriculum.
This worksheet includes four rectangles/squares and four triangles. The pages are separated by shape so they can be given one at a time. The worksheets have the formula for area broken down into easy steps. Students have to fill in the blanks, which will help them solve the equation.

This is a 2-page worksheet for students in an inclusive science class learning about the physical and chemical changes. I used this for my 6th grade students who learn at about a first grade level.

There is a student with severe behavioral issues on my caseload who also requires visuals. This version of a check-in/check-out sheet really works for him because he can earn points even if he messes up a little bit, and he can see what comes next in his day. They are easy to write on if changes to the schedule happen. Suggestion: Laminate to use day to day with a dry-erase marker.
