I use this noise meter in my lower elementary classroom to ensure students know the expectations around how loud they are expected to be. I printed this out on 8.5x11" paper (though it is also sized to be printed on legal paper), laminate it, and use a clothespin to show the students the expectation. I also print smaller versions (available on page 2) to distribute to students working in pairs or small groups (or at lunch tables) who need another reminder.
