This lesson takes two class periods of around 50 minutes. I use this in my gifted and talented class to teach about DNA base pairs in through hands on learning. Students learn about the 4 bases of DNA and will make a 3D model, which can be worn as a bracelet. They will pick a living organism and develop a key (bead colors to represent bases) in order to make their bracelet. Once they make the first part of the bracelet from the DNA code they are given they will then match the bases with the pair
