Endangered Species: A Differentiated Unit
This is a unit built for 3-6th grader gifted students (could be used for regular education, as well) on Endangered Species. It works through the vocabulary, environmental issues, what students can do to help, and student initiated animal projects. Much of the unit is differentiated with the exception one lesson.

In this project the students are put into groups and then given a list of symptoms that a patient is experiencing.
