I have created a packet to help students successfully create a research paper. The packet contains information about expectations, due dates, information and additional resources on how to pick a topic, how to write a thesis, how to keep a working bibliography, and how to create proper works cited page. This packet is a one-stop shop. Be sure to check all additional website resources are in working condition

Have your students do a report on a President of the United States of America. This project includes: having student gather information, create fact note cards, writing the report, and giving a presentation. Includes step-by-step guidelines to help students know what information to gather.

Inside the Pyramid- Creative Writing
This rubric includes directions, a scoring system, and a story starter for students to create a story of historical fiction. The story starter can be used to generate ideas. I have also had students create a story board on the back of the paper. I have also differentiated this assignment by allowing students to create a graphic novel instead of a traditional story. This can be done in class, or outside of class.
