Simile and Metaphor Worksheet Practice
This worksheet provides 10 metaphors/similes that allow students to practice their learning. Pictures of example next to each. They must identify if the sentence uses a simile or metaphor and then explain what that use of figurative language is trying to communicate. Reading Level Correlation Chart RIT Lexile Guided Reading AR
This correlation chart aligns 4 reading assessment levels: Lexile, MAP Reading RIT, Fountas & Pinnell Guided Reading, and Accelerated Reader. I searched high and low for a correlation chart that aligned RIT's to Guided Reading levels. When I couldn't find one (for standard MAP, not Primary MAP), I created my own.
