This enhances test-taking skills for students. For alternate ideas, have students use highlighters to highlight key words that help them identify the main idea. This is excellent for special education students who require an alternate or modified curriculum. It is also an excellent worksheet for general education students i

This template is easily printable for students to "fill the buckets" of others by giving them a compliment as to why they're wonderful. I paired this activity with reading the story "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" by Carol McCloud. It is easily paired with "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio, and the template is a Wordle of Auggie's head with adjectives that positively describe him. **This is an editable Publisher file. If you do not have Publisher, buy my PDF version instead.**

Each step on the plot chart has clear instructions for each part of the story. (Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, and Resolution) I let my students write notes of their plans all over these and their stories have stayed right on track once they began writing!
