How to write a mystery narrative

Enclosed is a scaffold of a narrative with corresponding vocabulary for a young writer. The basic setting and problem are loosely described, leaving room for detailed characters, a more defined setting and perhaps dialogue to be added. The lesson was written for remedial students, who struggle with the blank piece of loose leaf. It is rather open-ended and the possibilities are endless. I used it at the end of the year when my students were very stressed out from state exams and finals.
