"The Me I Want to Be" is a project students are able to create independently. I use it in my classroom as a menu activity the weeks before we have our final parent-teacher conferences. Students attend those conferences and share the short presentation with their parents at the beginning of conferences. Parents are always very pleased by the reflection and goal-setting components of the presentation. This could also be used as an end-of-the-year project as students prepare to enter the next grad

A great motivating measurement lesson! In this Powerpoint students are asked to choose an animal from the selection and design a house for one or more animals. Students combine their knowledge of length, perimeter and 3.D objects to design a house for one or more pets. (Metric Units used but it is editable) The lesson requires the student to have an understanding of length, perimeter, area and converting m to cm and mm. The house must include a door and be big enough for the animal to fit inside
