Word Document-I created this notes template for my middle school math classes to teach them important note taking skills. It is designed in the Cornell Two Column Note style, however has some specific requirements I feel are important for my classes. It includes a field for students to record the Demonstration of Learning for the lesson as well as the Big Idea. It contains two columns including one page with graph paper. ACT TRACKER (HIGH/LOW--FAST/SLOW)
This is an ACT tracker that I created for my students on Publisher. I call it high/low--fast/slow. We practice two of each piece on the Reading portion of the test and do a "Quick Write" or "Power Write" in between each. This allows students to keep track of their scores and word count and at the end of the unit they can determine which pieces they do best on and what particular order they should do them in on the real ACT test. SuperStar Homework: Test Review Activity
This activity encourages students to review materials for a small number of minutes over several days instead of cramming for a test the night before. IT accumulates "stars", earned by doing varying levels of activities. Percentage of stars earned by the class determines the number of minutes a review game will be played in class.
