I use this with my seventh grade students after we read Sandra Cisneros's short story "Eleven." This plot line could be used for a variety of texts, though, and asks students to identify elements of exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. I couldn't find a plot diagram I liked on the internet, so I made my own. There are two key differences here:1. The "rising action" and "falling action" sections aren't the same length, because they typically aren't in real life.2.
