French Subject Pronouns and the Irregular Verb Etre - Color by Numbers
This handout is intended to give students practice recognizing and matching subject pronouns and the irregular verb être.
Students must fill in the key at the bottom of the page to find out which subject pronoun (je, tu, il/elle, nous, vous, ils/elles) matches each form of être and then color in the image accordingly. This is similar to a color-by-number activity.

I give this assignment to students after we have covered body parts and colours in French.
It tests them on their comprehension of the vocabulary learned and it gives them a chance to be creative. There are 19 instruction that tell them what the monster they have to draw looks like. For example:
il a des mains rouges...il a trois dents...il a des pieds bruns...etc.
Students love this activity because although the instructions are the same, each one of them draws the monster the way they see it
