I created a list of 85 5-phoneme words to use with my older speech therapy students for segmenting and blending goals. Parents have also expressed the desire to have visuals with homework practice so this is a handy list for them as well.

Differentiated Vocabulary Handout for Informational Texts
This worksheet allows students to create their own vocabulary list. This is a modified KWL chart. As students read through an article, they find 20 words (I told my kids with AT LEAST 5 letters) that they definitely know and can define. Then, they find 10 words that they kind of know. Lastly, they find 5 words that they absolutely do not know and cannot define. Students then draw inferences about their 5 "I Don't Know" words. Later, students created sensory image flash cards using their 5 words.
