Inspiration Vital Capacity Using an Incentive Spirometer
This is a hands-on lab that measures student lung volume. It tends to make students aware of how much their lungs are affected by vaping, smoking, second hand smoking, etc. I have had students weep when they realize their lung volume is merely 500 cc when it should be 2500-3000 cc.
