Students will investigate different types of microorganisms and understand how the chain of infection is used to reduce the risk of infection or illness. The practice of Standard Precaution techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in preventing and controlling the spread of disease will be emphasized. Students can acquire certification in OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) through an on-line agency.
