Test Taking Strategies / Follow Directions Prank/Fake Quiz
This quiz is a fun and funny way to get students to realize they need to pay attention to directions.
There is a list of numerous steps to complete, which can actually be fun for students. HOWEVER, the first step says to "read all directions before continuing" and the last step says "only do..." so most students mess this up and do all the steps as they go along. Polynomial Function Project - Roller Coaster
In this project, students learn how to use polynomial function to model roller coaster rides. In this first part, they are given some polynomial functions to find the relative maximum/minimum, increasing/decreasing intervals, x- and y-intercepts, etc. They will explore the average rate of change. In the second part of the project, students are asked design their own roller coaster given some basic criteria. Students should use graphing devices/computer applications to complete this project.

SAT Vocabulary Practice Set 1: 30 Fill-in-the-Blank Problems
This is a set of 30 fill-in-the-blank sentence problems to help students study vocabulary words commonly found on the SAT and PSAT. The 30 problems are divided into 3 sets of 10.
