Flow chart for solving quadratic equations
This flow chart gives a structured way to solve a quadratic equation. I came up with this after noticing that even my pre-calculus and calculus students spent a lot of time (when they reached a quadratic equation) trying to factor. If the students use this regularly, they will remember the method and save a lot of time. A good strategy for preparing for SATs too.

This graphic organizer was made after out school got bit by the "Max Thompson" bug. We are working hard to implement Learning Focused Strategies. Research shows that students who learn with graphic organizers are better prepared for assessment. My students did better on their test than in years past. I had the students put the information on a Frayer diagram themselves. This way they had ownership of the organizer and were more interested in it.

Calculus Interactive Notebook 1: Limits
This is a Table of Contents for my Calculus chapter on Limits. My students have been creating an "Interactive Notebook" for 30 years, I just call it their Little Black Book (because it is a black marbled composition book).
