Bar paper for student writing with space for teacher's comments

This mimics the old fashioned bar printer paper. I was thinking it would be a great way to help my students to skip lines when writing rough drafts so that I could edit. The line width is close to that of wide ruled paper. Lines for students to write on are very dark. If you have any requests for modifications, please send me a message. I will try to help.

Editor's Checklist for Students

This Editor's Checklist is used in my classroom to help students edit their writing. Students take one checklist (approximately a 3X3 square) and staple to their first draft. Students go through and edit for capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and whether or not each sentence makes sense. Once they finish each step of the editing process, they check off the corresponding box. This way I know they looked at their work critically before handing it to me to look over. What is better than one graphic organizer? Well of course two!In an attempt to find more than one approach to meeting the needs of my students for a paragraph graphic organizer I created two (100% virtual) versions that are linked together. The first is the main outline sheet that gives locations for students to write in their sentences into a Google Doc (allowing use of voice to text and Google-Add ons). This document is a detailed rubric to assess writing at the middle school or early high school level. Many components of this rubric are modeled after New York State Assessment criteria. This rubric also has a curved grading scale to match up with the proficiency levels (1-below grade level to 4 above grade level). I have used this in my class and have found it to be a quick way of grading essays. I have been able to cut down on my comments, instead underlining details on the rubric.
