At the end of a unit, students should be able to communicate a certain amount of information. In this project, students will write a script in the target language, record themselves, make a "blabberize" video, and present it to the class! This is a fun way for students to practice speaking in the target language without the stress of presenting in front of their peers. I find that this is especially good for the lower-levels, where mistakes are common, and embarrassment is often a factor in stu

This is a two-page rubric I use to assess multimedia projects like short films or podcasts. Usually students work in a group to complete these. The five categories assessed are: content, visual elements and video/photo editing, audio elements and editing, creativity and teamwork. There are four descriptors for each rubric that correspond to point scores. The total point value of the rubric is 20 points. I usually go through the rubric at the beginning of the project, so everyone is on board.
