I use this assessment in my guided reading binder. I write the children's names down the side and keep track of their phonics progress throughout the year by giving them a checklist when I can see evidence of their mastery in guided reading time, in their writing, or on weekly spelling tests. Fluency Logs for grades 1 - 8
