Writing Essays with Anecdotal Evidence
Out of all of the kinds of evidence, my students had the most difficulty with anecdotal evidence. Because anecdotal evidence can be a persuasive and powerful tool, I came up with this three-paragraph essay where the anecdotal evidence is the complete body of the essay.
I didn't have the students complete a Bibliography, but I did try to get them used to in-text citations. I didn't follow the completely correct format but found this was a good stepping stone from just using evidence in essays
