I use this closer to the end of the year and give students multiple weeks to finish assignment. This worksheets meets Common Core Standard 5.MD.5.b (see below). Students are asked to find the volume of various real-life rectangular prisms. Some problems are simple and only require students to plug the dimensions into the formula V = l × w × h. Other problems require students to find the volume of irregularly-shaped items using water displacement.
