It focuses on Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and the impact of his speech on both the civil rights movement and our society today. Students will listen to and discuss Dr. King's famous speech and have the opportunity to create their own "I Have a Dream" speech as well. The template for the poem/speech is attached at the end of the lesson plan.
