Visual Schedule

In TK, we focus a lot on patience, and this is a tool I use for students who have a difficult time waiting for play time and snack time. It offers a way for them to know exactly what is coming next. I included an editable document for you to take our images and put in your own to match your daily schedule. Just print it out, laminate, and tape it onto your student's desk. They will love it! Enjoy!

Do you have students that need/ask for a break constantly? Maybe you have students that are learning how to request a break before behavior escalates. Either way, these break cards work great! I have it set up so my students can have 3 additional sensory/ brain breaks a day. Each break correlates with a different color. The first time they ask, they take a green card and circle how they are feeling. The second time they ask, they take a yellow card. The third time they ask, they take a red card.

If your class is anything like mine, transitions can be chaos! I created a visual schedule for my students and it completely changed the mindset of my group. Students are calmer with a more structured day, they know what to expect next, and can offer themselves positive reinforcement based on a goal they choose (or I choose). They love "self-assessing" for each content area, especially my students who are wiggly with short attention spans- they need a constant reminder for where they are at in t
