This year, I have had a caseload with a large number of non-verbal special education students (elementary and high school transition). Many of them are in the beginning stages of picture communication, but have difficulty associating more abstract images (such as those from Boardmaker) with the real objects they are meant to represent. So, my solution was to put together this power point of real-object pictures that my students can use to request, label, and express basic wants and needs.
