I'm Kim Lewis from the Activity Tailor blog and I've been working as a pediatric speech therapist for over 25 years in out patient and school settings. I'm passionate about communication! I have a private practice where I contract with families to see their child in their daycare or school setting.
I want to provide an environment where students who struggle have success. Where they have so much fun, they ask to come back for more. Where lessons transfer so seamlessly from the therapy room to the classroom and home, parents and teachers both say, “why didn’t I think of that?”
My blog has been featured on: ASHASphere, PediaStaff, ASHALeader Online, Love That Max, and Special Needs Parenting. I'm a regular contributor to the ASHA Leader. I've received multiple ACE designations and had extensive Social Thinking and Hanen training.
I graduated from Colby College with an B.A. in Economics and from University of Virginia with a M.Ed. in Communication Disorders. I love continuing education and received my Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
My husband (of nearly 30 years!) and I are newly empty nesters. We share our home with three senior rescue dogs. Join my blog at ActivityTailor.com to get your own (virtual) keys to my Therapy Closet full of perfect fit, subscriber only, free resources!
