If you're a Latin teacher who has students of various levels of proficiency in a single class, you may find it helpful to give them an ungraded quiz or two to assess each student's knowledge of basic grammatical content-- that is how I've used this quiz on case usage for the past few years. It's ten short sentences, each with a bolded word; the students must identify the case of the bolded word in a blank. It's simple and effective without being too stressful for the students.
