Commonly Misused Words - First Week of School Worksheet for High School Students
This worksheet reviews many commonly misused words. It is geared towards freshman or junior students (grades 9-11) and is a great diagnositc for both students and teachers. I always use this the first week of school and remind students to refer to it throughout the semester.

Multiplayer Wordle - Great activity for the end of class! (Video preview)
The popular online brain teaser Wordle makes a great activity for those last few minutes of class. Available here in 1, 2 and 4 player versions - students must guess a five letter word by a process of elimination. Enter their guesses right into letter boxes on the presentation and click the boxes to change their colour. My students always have a blast racing each other to see who can get their word first.
