Then and Now - Comparison of Popular Musicians
An assignment I did with my music appreciation class. I came up with a list of 25 musician pairs that had similar styles; one of pair was an older (usually deceased) musician or group, and the second was a more modern popular musician. I paired Caruso with Josh Groban, Michael Jackson with Bruno Mars, The 4 Freshmen with the Pentatonix, etc. The worksheet has a section of questions about each artist, and a section comparing/contrasting the two.
