Shapes songs and chants
This is a PPT file that is a combination of 2 files I created. 2-d shapes set to the tune of common kids songs, complete with audio files, and 3-d shape chants.
These chants and songs are simple to learn but teach the required descriptive vocabulary of vertex,vertices, straight sides, curved sides, and face for each shape.
If you have a projector you can have a student follow the print with a pointer as the song is sung. Students can use the pointer to point to and count sides and vertices

Polygon Song with audio and Anchor Chart
**My Smartboard (as shown in the preview video) is super old, so the image quality will be much better with your projector that actually works. This product is so fun for solidifying the definition of a polygon with your class. It includes the song lyrics as well as audio. It also has an anchor chart that states the definition of a polygon. 2D Hot Seat Game
One student sits in the "hot seat" with their back turned to the word. The other students describe the shape using clues such as "It has ___ sides." It has ___ vertices." It looks like a ___." There's 6 slides with shape names and pictures. The last slide includes a fun song to help remember the shape names.
Rectangles: Song and Definition
I created a song and PowerPoint to help students learn what a rectangle is and that a square is also a rectangle. Sung to the tune, "If You're Happy and You Know it," students will be able to see and sing the correct properties of rectangles. This simple song demonstrates that shapes that have four sides and square corners/ right angles are rectangles.
