Alaskan Earthquake Epicenter Location Activity (November 30, 2018)
In this activity students will analyze seismograms from three seismic stations in Alaska. They will use the difference in arrivals times of the primary and secondary waves with a travel time curve to determine the distance from the epicenter to the seismic stations. Zombie Survival Ice Breaker and Introduction to Science Activity
The goal of this activity is to serve as an icebreaker and introduce students to the basic concepts of effective science at the start of the year.
