This hands on activity is student centered and student led and allows the students to investigate and discover volume of rectangular prisms. For this activity, the students can use snap cubes to complete the project. There is a hint on the bottom of the project to help the students complete it. For this project, the teacher is just there to facilitate and give leading questions. The students can work in teams and arrive at the correct answer in many ways.

Group Transformations (Geometric Transformations)
Use this activity to help students realize real life transformations on a graph on the classroom floor using tiles. Place tape (I used painter's tape) on the floor of your classroom utilizing your tiles as your coordinate plane. Have students make their own rule for each transformation. Using utility cords or string, have them stand on their coordinate points, make their shape and then "play out" their transformation. Have the other students try to figure out what the transformation was for
