Students will get a great introduction to additive inverse and integers on a number line. Using a work mat and integer models students will make predictions and model additive inverse and positive and negative integers. Using this discovery lab, or inquiry activity, to start the unit helps students understand this concept in a deeper and richer way.

This activity is designed to be used a fun review for converting between fractions, decimals, and percents.. As students enter the room, you will tape a number to their back (they will not look at it).
