Each lab was assigned to half the class for the first day and then flip flopped for the second day. Fractions on a Number Line - Obstacle Course Task
This task requires students to use their knowledge of fractions to place obstacles on the correct location on an obstacle course. Students must partition the number line using a ruler to help them. Students will realize that some fractions may be on the same point on a number line. This task requires students bring in their knowledge of measurement, multiplication, and division as well as fractions.
