This is a small Notebook file that deals with the 5 Senses. It has a graph, observation chart, silly man (that could be a cut out worksheet if printed off), and a writing prompt.

Building Bridges, Building with a Variety of Materials
This is a Notebook lesson consisting of approx. 36 slides. It contains short student notes on five different types of bridges, beam, truss, arch, cantilever, and suspension. For all but the cantilever bridge there are challenges for the students which consist of four projects using materials like spaghetti, marshmallows, toothpicks, sugar cubes, string and paper. The final challenge uses popsicle sticks and glue. Students can use anyone of the types of bridges and try to design the strongest

This slide presentation accompanies the 9/11 Day K-8 Lesson Plan. The slide presentation supports teachers as they safely and thoughtfully engage with K-8 students about the events of 9/11 and the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Friendship Pie Activity
This activity can be incorporated into a anti-bullying lesson, or can simply be done to promote acceptance and friendship in the classroom.
I did this activity with my students as an extension activity to the book, Enemy Pie, by Derek Munson. Moon Phases Project
This project allows students to have a excellent model to view the moon phases. Once complete can be used as a science center.
Supplies Needed: square piece of cardboard, moon phases template, golf ball or ping pong ball, markers, and star stickers.
