Students will research items they would like for themselves or family and friends. Teachers can set a budget or tell them they have an unlimited budget. They will research prices, find discounts, find total, calculate tax and explain how they did their work. My students loved having no budget and even chose cars to buy for their family and friends.

Math Project - Metric Domino Dilemna - Metric Conversions
This is a great Math Project. It will teach your students how to convert the units of measurement in metric using dominoes. You will need to pre-teach students the conversions of meters, centimeters, They will have to cut out 32 dominoes and paste them together to make the chain work so all conversions are connected. It is very challenging and sometimes frustrating because at times several dominos fit in one spot.....but only one is the correct one.
