Project Based Learning (PBL) Activity in which students are placed into 13 small groups. Each group is provided one of the thirteen american colonies to create a presentation in the form of a 30-70 second commercial to their peers. Geometry Proof Puzzle
Students use a word bank and their knowledge of triangle proofs to complete 3 "puzzles". CpCtC is used as well so I recommend using this after you teach that topic unless you wanted to modify the word bank and proofs. I had my students glue/tape their answers to construction paper to hang up around the classroom. I've used this multiple years and I really like how it turned out.

Fantasy Vacation Internet Research Project
This lesson plan was designed to increase the computer literacy and internet research skills of 7th and 8th grade English Language Learners with very little experience with computers. Students use the internet to schedule a flight, hotel, transportation and visits to attractions within a two-week time span. Students must carefully budget their expenses. Students use power point to organize their information and photos. The assignment sheet and grading rubric are within the Notebook file.
