Animal Diorama Project with Rubric
This is a complete animal diorama project, in which the students choose an animal and create an animal and habitat diorama in a shoebox along with a four paragraph report about the animal. The students will write about the animal's characteristics, habitat, diet, and what they learned. The report can be adjusted down to a fill-in-the-blank type of activity if paragraph writing is too difficult for the students; there is a planning sheet included to make this possible.

All About Me - PowerPoint Project
I wanted a fun and exciting project for my elementary and middle school students to be able to explore the concepts we covered in our Microsoft PowerPoint Unit. This project allows them to introduce themselves to their peers while also practice many important PowerPoint concepts.
Also included is a peer grading rubric that I has each student use to evaluate each other's presentation skills. They absolutely loved this part and had some great comments/suggestions for each other.

Digital Photography Scavenger Hunt
At the beginning of my Digital Photo class, before I teach the students anything, I will send them out with cameras (or if no cameras are available, their cell phones) to find as many things as they can. One photo can only count for one thing on the list. I use this to get an idea of their photo taking skills, but to also get them excited for the course.
