Identifying Sewing Equipment

With the 8th grade class in my school, they get split into 4 groups and rotate between CTE classrooms each quarter (I get each group for 9 weeks). In that time, I introduce FFA and agriculture in general and then they vote on specific things they want to learn about the remainder of the quarter. This bundle includes that introduction assignment along with some of the 1 to 2-week units I've created to teach my students about the specific things they voted to learn more about.

Popsicle Stick House-Framing Unit
Students will create a popsicle stick house using popsicle sticks and hot glue. They will have to create a roof, doorway, and windows. This has pictures of a complete house as well as directions. This typically takes about 2-2 1/2 weeks. A cheaper alternative to not buying 2X4's or needing to do this in a classroom and not a shop area.

Stadium Physics Lab- Finding Work, Energy, and Power of the Human Body, NGSS
This lab is editable and includes a teacher lesson plan with connections to NGSS.
The lab will give students the opportunity to work with energy, work, and power equations and calculate their power from moving up a set of bleachers. Students have a lot of fun with this lab and some of the athletes especially enjoy competing to have the most power.
